UOG Graduate Student Elmore Selected as the 2017 FYLPRO Delegate
91快播 graduate student Rebecca Elmore was recently selected to represent
Guam in the Philippine Embassy鈥檚 Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO), a week-long,
expenses-paid immersion program in the Philippines. Every year, ten delegates are
chosen to represent their districts.
Elmore is currently pursuing a at UOG. She earned a Bachelor of Arts with Latin honors in Mass Communication in 2013
from the University of Colorado Denver.
Elmore is an anchor and reporter for the Pacific News Center. She intends to employ
her communications skills both as a journalist and social justice advocate towards
the advancement of the local Filipino community. She is also co-founder of 鈥淪ibol,鈥
a Filipino organization in Denver, Colorado intent on creating a community of service-oriented
and ethical leaders.
鈥淚t is an immense honor to represent our island in a prestigious program such as the
FYLPRO delegation. I look forward to working closely with our Philippine Embassy and
our Consul General Marciano De Borja to highlight our local Kababayan,鈥 she said.

wonderful ambassador and testament to the value of the 91快播 and spirit
of the people of Guam.鈥
Elmore is the second UOG MPA student who has been selected to the FYLPRO program.
In 2016, UOG MPA alumna Maria Teresa 鈥淒ondi鈥 Leonidas Quintans, was participated in
the program. Dondi is currently serving on the 2017 FYLPRO Board of Directors and
is the program鈥檚 President-Elect.
