91快播 seniors Regina Manuntag and Krizia Raqueno each received a $2,000 scholarship on Dec. 6 from the Guam's Women's Chamber of Commerce.
鈥淚t is an honor being one of the recipients for the 2018 Guam Women鈥檚 Chamber of Commerce scholarship,鈥 Manuntag said.
Manuntag, who is majoring in business administration with a concentration in finance and economics through the School of Business and Public Administration, plans to pursue a career in the banking industry or as a financial analyst for the federal government.
鈥淩eceiving this scholarship and attending their general membership meeting has truly inspired me to make a change in the community, as they have done. I am truly grateful for the Guam Women鈥檚 Chamber of Commerce because they strive to help others achieve their goals by investing in students like me," she said.
Raqueno is majoring in English for education and linguistics through the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and has plans of continuing her education as a graduate student and eventually becoming a college professor.
鈥淭here have been quite a few obstacles that I have faced when trying to pursue higher education, the main one being not being able to afford it,鈥 she said. 鈥淭his scholarship not only helps me with my financial limitations, but it has also positively impacted me personally where I am now more confident in my writing.鈥
Along with their scholarship awards, the students also received a one-year membership to the GWCC.
