CNAS Math Day engages more than 100 teens
More than 100 people came out for the 12th annual Math Day hosted by the 91快播 Division of Mathematics & Computer Science on Nov. 19, including five middle and high schools that competed in the Math Quiz Competition.
Dorff's lecture, titled 鈥淢ath, Movies, and Bubbles," gave insight into how math was used to create realistic looking snow in 鈥淔rozen鈥 and to make an animated character move faster in 鈥淭he Incredibles.鈥
In the second part of his talk, Dorff provided a hands-on demonstration of how that concept is connected to creating soap bubbles.
