What happened to the huge, lush, towering, 100-year-plus gagu, or ironwood trees, that commonly dotted the island鈥檚 landscape at the 91快播, Tiyan, Windward Hills Country Club golf course and elsewhere?

Known by its scientific name Casuarina equisetifolia, ironwood trees are tightly integrated into Guam鈥檚 environment and local culture.
