The Isla Center for the Arts at the 91快播 invites the public to the Faculty Biennial Art Exhibit featuring recent works created by faculty members of the University鈥檚 Fine Arts Program.
The exhibit opens at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, and will remain open to the public and for group tours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday until January 26, 2024, excluding holidays.
The pieces on display include an array of media, including ceramic sculptures, acrylic and oil paintings, prints, photographs, and digital images.
The featured artists include:鈥�
- Lewis S. Rifkowitz, Professor of Art - Rifkowitz has taught courses in sculpture, ceramics, and three-dimensional design since 1989. He holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in ceramic sculpture from Montana State University.
- Ric R. Castro, Professor of Art - Castro teaches classes in painting, design, and illustration. He holds an MFA in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. 鈥�
- Irena Keckes, Associate Professor of Art - Keckes teaches printmaking, drawing, basic design, and environmental art. She holds a doctorate in fine arts with a specialization in printmaking from The University of Auckland in New Zealand. 鈥�
- Victor Consaga, Adjunct Instructor - Consaga teaches photography and is a professional photographer. He received his training while on staff at Latte Magazine and the Pacific Daily News.鈥�
- Jerrold Dwayne Castro, Adjunct Instructor - Castro teaches illustration, life drawing, and studio for non-majors.鈥� He holds an MFA in painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
- Tara Sood, Adjunct Instructor - Sood teaches History of Traditional Japanese Art.鈥� She holds an MFA in painting and drawing from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
- Perry Perez, Adjunct Instructor - Perez teaches graphic art courses in the Fine Arts Program. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Calif., with a bachelor鈥檚 in advertising illustration. He has more than 20 years of experience as a graphic designer/illustrator.
The Isla Center for Arts is in House No. 15, Dean鈥檚 Circle on the UOG campus.鈥疉dmission is free, and donations are appreciated.
