Mission
The Margaret Perez Hattori-Uchima School of Health is committed to improving the health, fitness, personal and social well-being of the people of Guam and the Western Pacific. To realize this mission the Margaret Perez Hattori-Uchima School of Health:
- Delivers programs designed to prepare graduates for their professions: nursing, social work, exercise science and health promotion, public health, and pre-physical therapy. The school provides ongoing educational development for members of the respective professions. The School fosters collaboration among the disciplines and facilitates inter-professional education.
- Engages in collaborative research and creative endeavors focused on the needs of the people of Guam and the Western Pacific.
- Promotes the advancement of social and economic justice, and the empowerment of the community. Promotes community service of students and faculty.

At the 91快播 Margaret Perez Hattori-Uchima School of Health Learning Resources Center, students gain hands-on experience in simulated clinical settings that closely resemble real patient care.
CHAMPS, which stands for Communities and Hospitals Advancing Maternity Practices, is a 3-year collaborative partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to work with 100 hospitals across the U.S. and its territories to reduce racial disparities in breastfeeding rates and maternal-child outcomes through training.
