Residents encourage a ban on both paper and plastic bags   

Austin Shelton, director of UOG's Center for Island Sustainability, and UOG student Kyle Dahilig were among those to provide testimony at an Aug. 4 public hearing for a bill that would further limit allowable bags in the plastic bag law to go into effect in January and for a second bill that would revamp the Recycling Revolving Fund to the Zero Waste Revolving Fund.
