In partnership with the 91快播 Press, UOG鈥檚 School of Health will be distributing a resource for local adults experiencing memory loss.

骋耻氓丑补苍 Memories: Images and Conversation Starters for Adults with Memory Loss features images and conversation starter prompts that reflect the experiences of people from 骋耻氓丑补苍 to initiate meaningful discussions about their lives.

The resource was funded by the Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) Award from the Health and Resources Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The first recipients of the resource included staff from the Mayors鈥 Council of Guam Adult Day Care program which serves frail and elderly residents who require supervision.

During a Sept. 24 training session at the Macheche Community Center, Margaret Hattori, GWEP program director, distributed the resource for certified caregivers to use and share.

The resource will be useful to all elderly, including those living with dementia or Alzheimer鈥檚, said Maria Timoteo of the Adult Day Care Center. 鈥淚t will help anyone who works with the frail or elderly to have meaningful conversations. Our clients will immediately connect with the pictures and conversation starters in it.鈥
