The nutrition team at 91快播 Cooperative Extension & Outreach invites
the community to prioritize health for the New Year by learning to cook some new high-nutrition,
low-sodium recipes at an upcoming cooking workshop.
It will be the third workshop of the Nihi ta Fanmama鈥檛inas (Let鈥檚 Cook) series, led
by registered dietitian nutritionist Dr. Tanisha Aflague and the Family & Consumer
Science team at UOG Extension. The series aims to educate community members of all
ages how to cook healthier meals using local ingredients.
Residents can choose to attend one of two sessions:

This workshop will teach participants about the effects of a high-sodium diet and
the importance of getting a variety of nutrients. They will also get hands-on experience
making stuffed kamuti (sweet potato), gollai (vegetable) and salmon patties, and pumpkin turnovers.
The Nihi ta Fanmama鈥檛inas workshops are an ongoing series and will continue to feature different topics in nutrition
in the coming months.
