The program of the 91¿ì²¥ recently received reaffirmation of accreditation by the National Council on Social Work Education through 2031. The accreditation process involves comprehensive curriculum evaluations, teaching methods and community engagement. This is an amazing achievement and showcases the quality of our faculty and program.

I have been involved in all accreditation reviews of the BSW program during the past three decades. Today, I’ll reflect on the remarkable ways our program, students and alumni have had on the 91¿ì²¥ and our island community.

Founded in 1980, the BSW program first achieved accreditation in 2003 and has successfully maintained it through each review since. Accreditation ensures the program meets rigorous academic and professional standards, benefiting students and the broader community.
